    About Bristol Aero Club

Bristol Aero Club is a member-run flying club and flight training group based at Gloucestershire Airport (Staverton), near Cheltenham. It is set up as a not-for-profit club, with volunteers running the day-to-day side, backed by experienced instructors and maintenance support. The club offers trial lessons, full private pilot training, and common next-step ratings including the Night Rating and the IR(R). There is a strong focus on practical confidence building, with cross-channel mentoring and regular club fly-outs. The club operates a small fleet of Piper PA-28 aircraft used for training and self-fly hire. Its PA-28 aircraft can be fitted with hand controls and instructors are familiar with training disabled pilots; the club is linked with Flying Scholarships for Disabled People. Flying membership is GBP100/year.
