    About BF-Lento

BF-Lento is a family-owned Finnish flight school founded in 1969, making it the country's oldest privately owned flight school in continuous operation. Its registered base is Nummela Aerodrome (Lentokentäntie 19, Nummela, Uusimaa), where the school has built its own heated hangar; training flights also make regular use of Kiikala, Räyskälä, Turku and Helsinki-Malmi. A fleet of nine aircraft, including the Cessna 152, keeps aircraft available for students even when individual machines are in maintenance. Private pilot students take a PPL(A) course of roughly 100 hours of theory — delivered through a Finnish- and English-language distance-learning portal backed up by classroom sessions — and 45 flying hours, of which at least ten are supervised solo. The school says the licence can be finished in about three to six months, and training can be paid in instalments. For career students, BF-Lento runs a modular ATPL(A) "frozen" route to CPL(A) ME/IR, taking around 18 months to two years. It combines PPL training, a night flying rating, roughly 100 supervised pilot-in-command hours on the Cessna 152 and a 650-hour ATPL distance-learning theory course in Finland, before students travel to Polish partner Ventum Air Academy to complete multi-engine, instrument, basic UPRT and commercial flight training on the PS-28 Cruiser and Tecnam P2006T.
