Bliss Aviation is a flying school at Bournemouth Airport. It trains both aeroplanes and helicopters from the same base. Training takes place at a busy, controlled airport with full air traffic control. On the aeroplane side, the focus is private pilot training (PPL(A)), FRTOL, night flying and the UK IMC/IR(R) route, plus a Flying Companions course. The aeroplane fleet includes the Piper PA-28 Warrior and Cessna 172. On the helicopter side, Bliss Aviation offers PPL(H) training, trial lessons, night qualification, hour building and type rating training for the R44 and EC120; the training fleet includes the Robinson R44, Schweizer 300 and Eurocopter EC120. There is a shared "Bliss Club" with crew lounge, flight planning facilities and operations staff.
