Daedalus Aviation is a fixed wing flying school based at Birmingham Airport, operating from the XLR Jet Centre. Its location at a major airport gives students early exposure to busy radio work and real world procedures. The school is a UK CAA Declared Training Organisation (GBR.DTO.0081) and offers ab initio training from introductory flights through to the NPPL and the CAA PPL. A key differentiator is its focus on Cirrus aircraft and modern avionics. Daedalus describes itself as a Cirrus Authorised Platinum Training Centre, with Cirrus transition and recurrency training and an on site Cirrus FNPT II simulator. It also offers IR(R) training with in house CAA approved examiners.
