    About Cambridge Flying Group

Flight training is centred on working toward a Private Pilot’s Licence in the Tiger Moth. The course is described as a minimum of 45 flying hours, with at least 10 hours solo. Training starts with basic aircraft control, then moves on to take-offs and landings. The Tiger Moth is a tailwheel, open-cockpit biplane, which sharpens basic handling, lookout and landing technique. Membership is part of how it works, with flying members, social members and temporary membership for guests; instructors and group officers are volunteers.
