CANAVIA Aviation Academy trains pilots from Gran Canaria Airport in Las Palmas, Spain, and describes itself as the country's first flight training organisation approved by AESA and EASA. It operates its own aerodrome with round-the-clock operations and in-house maintenance, so students are not queuing for slots at a busy commercial field. Courses cover the Private Pilot Licence, CPL, Night Rating, MCC, ATPL theory and the Integrated ATPL, which starts in January, May and September 2027 in Gran Canaria, with a further September 2027 intake in Tenerife. An advanced UPRT course is also offered. The academy flies more than 14 aircraft with Garmin glass-cockpit avionics and trains on Airbus A320, Boeing 737, FNPT and G1000 simulators. The Canary Islands climate, with around 22°C average temperatures, allows flying through most of the year.
