Westair Flying School has trained pilots from Hangar 8 at Blackpool Airport in Lancashire for over 80 years, using a fleet of Cessna light aircraft for PPL training and a Diamond DA50 for commercial and instrument rating work. The school's course range covers PPL(A), NPPL, Night Rating, IR(R), the full Instrument Rating and Competency-Based IR, CPL(A), Multi-Engine Piston rating and flight instructor training, alongside structured hour building and trial flying lessons. Westair's sister company, 737Pro Ltd, also operates a Boeing 737 simulator on site, and the school holds its own Part-CAO engineering approval for aircraft maintenance up to 5,700kg.
