Aero Club Genova is an EASA-approved Declared Training Organisation (IT.DTO.074) based at Genoa airport (LIMJ) on Italy's Ligurian coast. Run as a members' flying club, it trains student pilots for the Private Pilot Licence in Italian airspace with an English radiotelephony extension for flying abroad. The PPL course combines roughly six months of theory, delivered partly in person and partly in a virtual classroom, with at least 45 hours of flight time, including 12 hours before first solo and an internal check ahead of the final exam with an ENAC inspector. Add-on ratings for retractable-undercarriage and variable-pitch propeller aircraft are available. The fleet is made up of three Piper PA-28 aircraft (a PA-28-181 and two PA-28-161s), and the club also offers introductory trial flights.
