About Aeroclub Varese

Aeroclub Varese is a non-profit flying club and approved flight school based at Arturo Ferrarin Airport in Venegono Inferiore, in the province of Varese in northern Italy. It has been training pilots since 1948 and today operates a fleet of 16 aircraft alongside two simulators, with a CAMO-certified maintenance workshop on site. Students can follow an integrated ATPL for a career in the airlines, or build up through PPL, LAPL(A), CPL, night qualification, SEP and MEP ratings and the competency-based instrument rating (CB-IR), which is also offered as distance learning. The school also runs APS MCC, advanced upset prevention and recovery training, aviation English and radiotelephony courses, and instructor courses including FI, CRI, IRI and MCCI. The club reports more than 35 full-time instructors and teachers and over 95 per cent professional placement, and has had an academy partnership with Air Dolomiti, part of the Lufthansa Group, since 2019.
