airBaltic Pilot Academy is the ab-initio training arm of Air Baltic Training SIA, based at Pilotu iela 6 on Riga International Airport with flight training also operating from Liepāja Airport on the Latvian coast. Its integrated ATPL(A) course takes roughly 24 months and leads to a frozen EASA licence, offered both self-sponsored and through the airline-backed loan route. Because the academy sits inside an airline, graduates feed straight into airBaltic's all-Airbus A220-300 fleet: 124 students had joined the carrier as pilots by late 2024, and 25 came back to the academy as theoretical, flight and simulator instructors alongside their line flying. Beyond the cadet course, airBaltic Training offers IR(A) with MEP(land), modular MCC, an Airbus A220-300 type rating, flight instructor and TRI/SFI professional training, performance-based navigation and rating renewal or revalidation, all delivered from the same two Latvian bases on Diamond DA40 and DA42 trainers.
