Alba Airsports is a small microlight and gyrocopter flying school based in Hangar 1 at Perth Airport (PH2 6PL) in Scotland, operating alongside the Scottish Aero Club. Fixed-wing training is on two microlights: an Evektor EV97 TeamEurostar (G-CENB), a low-wing Rotax 912UL-powered two-seater, and a high-wing Skyranger Nynja (G-FSKY) with a Rotax 912ULS. Students work towards the NPPL with a microlight rating on the BMAA syllabus, which requires at least 25 hours including 15 dual, 10 solo and 5 navigation hours, with five written ground exams. The school also offers flexwing experiences on a Quik GT450, gyrocopter flights and training, and gift-voucher experience flights for people who have never flown. Published pay-as-you-go training is £165 per flight hour in the school aircraft. The business is an approved Rotax Support Centre through CFS Aero, giving it in-house engine expertise rare among small Scottish schools.
