JETAV Flight Academy is a Romanian pilot and cabin crew school with its office in the Henri Coandă district of Bucharest and its flying operation at Strejnic aerodrome, north of the capital towards Ploiești. Its facilities there include a hangar, briefing room and lounge, and the academy's work is framed almost entirely around getting Romanian students into a Boeing 737 flight deck. That focus shapes the course list. JETAV runs modular training from zero experience through to a frozen ATPL and CPL, followed by a Boeing 737-300 to -900 type rating built from 138 hours of classroom theory in Bucharest, a minimum of nine full-flight simulator sessions at partner centres in Vilnius or Sofia, six base-training take-offs and landings, and at least 150 hours of line training under supervision. An MCC course, a classic-to-NG differences course, an EASA licence conversion route for ICAO and FAA licence holders, a command upgrade and a B737 instructor course fill out the professional end. The academy runs this two-year path in partnership with the Romanian operator Air Bucharest, which takes graduates on as B737 first officers. At the other end of the scale, its "Pilot for a day" introductory session at Strejnic pairs a briefing and hangar visit with a 30-minute flight, including a touch-and-go.
