Skies Aviation Academy is an EASA-approved flight training organisation established in 2013, with its classrooms and ALX Alsim FNPTII simulator based in Peraia, around 20 minutes from Thessaloniki in northern Greece. Its main routes are the EASA ATP Integrated and Modular courses, supported by a wide range of single courses including PPL, CPL, Instrument Rating, Night Rating, Multi-Engine, MCC, APS MCC, Jet Orientation, hour building and instructor ratings (CRI, IRI and FI). Flying takes place at Alexandroupolis airport (LGAL), which has a 2,582 m main runway and a VOR/DME, and the academy cites VFR weather on around 330 days a year. The fleet is eight aircraft, seven single-engine piston types and one multi-engine piston, with Piper, Tecnam, Cessna and Diamond DA42 models. The school says its flight team includes ex-military fast jet pilots and its ground instructors include PhD-holding scientists and active airline pilots, and it offers a scholarship scheme for 2027 awarded on assessment performance.
