MH Helicopters Ltd holds a place in Maltese aviation history as the first helicopter Approved Training Organisation ever certified by Transport Malta's Civil Aviation Directorate, a milestone announced by the authority in July 2020. The company is registered in Malta and listed at Malta International Airport in Luqa. Its approved syllabus covers the Private Pilot's Licence for Helicopters, PPL(H), the Commercial Pilot's Licence for Helicopters, CPL(H), and helicopter type rating conversions. The practical flying, however, is not carried out in Malta: MH Helicopters conducts its flight training on Mallorca in the Balearic Islands, so students train on a Maltese-issued EASA licence while flying in Spanish airspace. In its own words to the regulator, the organisation set out to combine the highest standards of training and safety with the simple enjoyment of helicopter flying. Prospective students should confirm current course availability and pricing directly, as the school does not publish a course fee list.
