Nordic Sky Ltd is a Malta-registered Approved Training Organisation and Air Operator Certificate holder specialising in seaplane flying, with its registered office in Xagħra, Gozo, and operations connected to Malta International Airport at Luqa. Its training offer is the full DHC-6 Amphibian type rating, flown entirely in the aircraft: a DHC-6-300 Twin Otter fitted with Garmin G1000 avionics and Wipline 13000 amphibious floats. The course pairs three to five days of ground school with practical flying, requires a minimum of ten hours block time and around two weeks in total, and ends with a skill test where the student's national authority requires one. Candidates must already be licensed and hold at least an MEP rating. Teaching is weighted towards waterwork — reading the water and the wind, setting the aircraft up for water landings and flying the pattern — alongside single-engine and emergency handling and IFR approaches. The same amphibious Twin Otters are also flown on charter.
