Værnes Flyklubb is a member-run flying club operating from Trondheim Airport Værnes (ENVA) at Stjørdal, where students learn in a controlled and moderately busy airport environment — tower service, a paved runway, approach and runway lighting approved for night flying, and radio navigation aids for instrument training. The club also keeps its own short-field strip at Øian in Meråker for rough-field practice. The school trains to both LAPL(A) and PPL(A), holds approval to give night-flying checkouts, and offers tailwheel and aerobatic flying as well as introductory trial flights. Theory is taught as classroom weekends by Trøndelag Flyskole DTO, the club's joint flight-school venture with Ørland Flyklubb, covering nine subjects across three weekend gatherings run six times a year. Club aircraft include two Cessna 172 Skyhawks, a Piper Cub and a SAAB Safir — the last two ex-military veterans — with a two-seat Tecnam P2008 used as the school aircraft.
