    About Blackbushe School of Flying

Blackbushe School of Flying (Air First) operates from Blackbushe Airport, near Camberley in Surrey. The site is easy to reach from the A30 and M3 (Junction 4a). The school has been based on the airfield since 1985. The airport has a 1,335 metre tarmac runway (07/25). The location sits close to busy controlled airspace, so students get used to the discipline of flying near it early on. The training menu is built around private flying. It offers a UK Private Pilot Licence course, plus trial lessons for anyone starting out. Aircraft options cover the usual training needs with Cessna 152s and Piper PA-28 Warriors, plus a microlight option on the Ikarus C42, and aerobatic experience options. After the first licence, the school offers a 5-hour Night Rating and the IR(R) (UK-only instrument rating). Air First also runs a membership setup with fly-away trips for members.
