FunFly Aerosports Flying Club is one of Ireland's newer flying clubs, operating from Benfield Airfield near Portarlington. It is approved by the Irish Aviation Authority (IE.NFTO.002 and IE.DTO.023) and teaches EASA PPL and LAPL courses as well as the National PPL/LAPL, with licence conversion courses also available. The club flies a fleet of ICP Savannah S aircraft, and four are available to members for self-fly. Its stated aim is to keep recreational flying affordable, and it promotes shared "buddy" flying as a way of halving costs, since members pay only for the flights they fly. Ground school and briefings are included in training, and a 60-minute trial flying lesson is available for anyone wanting to try flying first.
