Skyline Flying Club is a non-profit flying club based at Abbeyshrule Aerodrome (EIAB) in County Longford, Ireland, set up in early 2018. It operates as a Registered Training Facility with the Irish Aviation Authority and is fully insured for training and aircraft rental. Training centres on the Private Pilot Licence (Microlight), with a minimum of 30 hours flown on a pay-as-you-go basis so students can speed up or slow down as finances allow. The club flies an UrbanAir Samba XXL, registered EI-EHY, a docile microlight with strong landing gear and a panoramic canopy that cruises at around 90 knots from the aerodrome's 2,000 ft tarmac runway. Members have use of a hangar and clubhouse for weather checks, flight planning and socialising, and an annual ground school is held in the clubhouse. Taster lessons are offered, although membership is currently full and prospective students are asked to register their interest through the club's contact form.
