Highland Aviation is a flight training school based at Inverness Airport (EGPE) in the Scottish Highlands. It teaches the LAPL(A) and PPL(A) for aeroplanes, including an upgrade route from LAPL to PPL, and runs a five-hour night rating that includes a solo flight with five full-stop landings. Night training can also be flown from Aberdeen and Wick. Beyond the core licences, the school offers the 15-hour minimum IMC course, mountain flying, beach landing and soft or short field courses, which suit the terrain of northern Scotland. Instructors can also train with Highland through its CRI(A) and FI(A) courses. The training fleet is made up of Piper PA28 Warriors and Cherokees, a Cessna 172S, a Turbo Arrow IV and two Piper Tomahawk two-seaters. Trial experience flights are advertised from £149.
