Kittyhawk Flight Academy is based at Kittyhawk Aerodrome near Lewes and Brighton, close to the South Downs National Park. The setting suits students who prefer learning away from heavy commercial traffic. The school aims to teach pilots to "fly well", with strong emphasis on airmanship, decision making and command skills. Availability is described as limited and the training is positioned as personal and tailored rather than high volume. The school highlights a senior instructional team with wide backgrounds across rotary and fixed wing aircraft. Training is offered from ab initio through to advanced ratings, including PPL training plus night flying and aerobatics. Most flying takes place in a Piper PA-28 and a Super Decathlon.
