Arcus Helicopters is a helicopter flight school based at Nottingham City Airport (Tollerton), just south east of Nottingham. It also runs trial lessons, pleasure flying and private charter. The training path starts with the PPL(H), built around a 45-hour minimum. For people aiming at flying as a job, Arcus offers the CPL(H), and points to Flight Instructor (H) training as a common next step. It operates Robinson R22 and R44 helicopters for core training, plus the Robinson R66 and the Bell 206 JetRanger. After a licence, Arcus supports type ratings and self-fly hire, with in-house examiners.
