About Urbe Aero Flight Academy

Urbe Aero Flight Academy is an EASA-approved training organisation (IT.ATO.0065) based at Roma Urbe Airport (LIRU) on Via Salaria, a general aviation field a few kilometres north of central Rome. The company has been in aviation for over twenty years, first as an aircraft dealer and later as a flight academy and maintenance organisation. It trains across the full airline pathway: the ATPL Integrated course, the Multi-Crew Pilot Licence — Urbe Aero was the first Italian school certified to issue the MPL against an airline-specific training project — plus CPL, the Multi-Engine Piston rating (thirteen hours of classroom work and six flight hours plus a check, flown on the DA42) and flight instructor courses. A PPL course with flexible hours for those working or studying runs to around six months, and English-language training prepares students for the TEA test. The fleet is Diamond throughout — DA20, DA40 and DA42 with Garmin glass cockpits — backed by simulators including a DA42 and a Boeing 737NG.
